Analysis of dynamic behavior of coronary artery from X-ray rotational angiograms

In rotational angiography, a series of images is acquired while the imaging assembly rotates in a continuous arc around the patient. The acquisition is rather fast, so that the complete series can be acquired with a single injection of contrast agent. As a result, rotational angiography provides a complete range of projections, giving an excellent three-dimensional impression of the vascular structures and stenoses, using no more contrast agent than one single-angle subtracted angiogram. In this research, the analysis of dynamic behavior of coronary tree based in non-subtracted rotational angiography is considered. We propose to take advantage of a  rotational mode, so that to produce 4D (3D + time) dynamic models of the coronary tree.
