Electronics Engineering

What is the Electronics Engineering?


It is a profession that applies the concepts and methods of the basic sciences and of the engineering to the analysis, design, production, repair and maintenance of devices and electronic equipment that are used in computer science systems, automation, control of processes, control of the electric power and communications.

  • Capacity for the design, contraction, maintenance, operation of equipments and electronic systems to satisfy specific necessities.
  • Solid basic formation of engineering (mathematics, physics, programming, electric and electronic circuits.
  • Capacity for the scientific investigation and the technological development of the disciplines of electronic engineering, giving answer to the necessities of their fields, keeping in mind the cultural and socioeconomic reality of the region and the country.

Entrance profile

  • Solid knowledge in areas of mathematics, physics, chemistry, language and English.
  • Sufficiency in the reading and text understanding in Spanish.
  • Ability in the structuring of ideas, relationship and good spelling.
  • Aptitude for the handling of the personal computer.
  • Capacity of logical and abstract reasoning.
  • Numeric ability.
  • Manual ability and dexterity in the handling of small components and activities like to wire, to weld, etc.
  • Interest and strong motivation to work in design, analysis and construction of devices and electronic teams.
  • Capacity to carry out an intellectual work in an orderly way, systematic in form singular and in team.
  • Patience and perseverance to carry out works whose results take long to be obtained.
  • Disposition for learning other languages.
  • Independent and self confident.
  • High motivation to the achievement.

Work field

  • To install, to maintain and to design electronic systems applied to the control of processes, instrumentation, automation and communications.
  • To adapt existent equipment to specific necessities of an industry.
  • To design devices, equipments and electronic systems, according to the requirements of the national industry.
  • To manage, to administer and to supervise the human, financial, technological and of materials resources that lead to the execution of goals and objectives in an industry.
  • To evaluate industrial projects economically and to carry out legal and administrative steps, to public and private organisms.
