Engineering?
The career of computing engineering has as vision to transmit
scientific knowledge, in function of to generate and to develop
new technologies, defining the efforts toward the area of
the systematizing and calculation, through automated means.
Competence of the Computing Engineer
The Computing Engineer of the UNET will be
qualified to carry out different roles inside the productive
process in which is unwrapped, which will depend on the development
and professional maturity, it can stand out the following
ones: analyst, programmer, investigator and monitor, administrator
and manager of information systems, appraiser and auditor
of systems, advisory and consultant.
The good acting in the mentioned lists will be based on the
development of specific abilities of observation, analysis,
synthesis, models, planning, taking of decisions, creativity,
maturity, leadership, communication, auto-valuation, self-esteem,
and human behavior.
Study Environment
In the career of Engineering in Computer Sciences
of the UNET the student's integral development is propitiated
in an atmosphere of fraternity, where prevail the group solidarity
and a pleasant learning environment.
Profile of Entrance in Computing Engineering
- Thought, analytic, systemic, logical and
abstract capacities.
- Attitude and vocation toward the development
of computer programs.
- Domain of the mathematical logic given
at the level of high school education.
- Capacity to solve problems related with
the basic sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, language).
- Abilities for the reading and interpretation
of texts as well as ability for the understanding of simple
texts in the English language.
- Easiness for the writing and synthesis
of diverse situations.
- Easiness of oral and written expression.
Profile of the Computing Engineer of the
UNET
- To be a professional able to apply and
to develop the appropriate tools for the automated treatment
of the information based on the knowledge of the areas:
Systems, Computers, Basic and Organizational and Administrative
Sciences, received in integral, coherent and enough form
along the career.
- To develop specific abilities for their
professional acting as: observation, analysis, synthesis,
models, planning, taking decisions, creativity, leadership,
communication, auto-valuation, self-esteem and cooperation
with their social environment.
- Handling and treatment of information.
- Solid knowledge in software tools and
hardware with updated technology.
- To have a high ethical value in the handling
of the information.
Work field
- It designs and executes plans of maintenance
of Hardware and Software of the computer infrastructure
of the organization for which lends their services.
- It participates in selection, evaluation
and the users' of systems training processes, so much those
developed in Computer Science Unit, as the acquired ones
in the market.
- It designs a plan of corrective, preventive
and perfective maintenance for the infrastructure of technology
of the existent information in the organization.
